SUMMARY:Mardi Himal Trek Summit Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Join #TeamOracle for a challenging trek in the Annapurna region that offers breath-taking views of the Himalaya mountain range. \nReaching an altitude of 4500 metres\, this once ancient route has been restored and was officially reopened as a trek in its own right a few years ago. The trail takes us along winding paths and up steep steps\, through small villages\, rice fields\, rhododendron forests and past the teahouses\, where we will stay. We gain a unique insight into Nepalese life and culture and you will be able to experience the delicious meals prepared by our teahouse hosts. As we ascend\, we reach Alpine like terrain and we have exceptional views of the Annapurna massif\, including ‘Fishtail’\, or Machhapuchhre\, to give it its proper name. \nThe cost of the trip is £2995. A deposit of £500 is required at the time of booking\, with a second deposit of £750 due 11 months before the trip taking place. DESCRIPTION:Dog Jogs are a fantastic opportunity for you and your canine companion to get some fresh air and exercise. \nIf you and your four-legged friend are just beginning your journey to being more active and improving your fitness\, and are looking for a relaxed\, friendly and fun challenge to help motivate you\, then Dog Jog is for you! \nYou might be asking\, is jogging suitable for me and my dog? \nAre you new to exercising with your canine companion? If so\, there are lots of things to consider when exercising with your dog\, and the Dog Jog is no different! \nKeep hydrated! It’s important that your dog drinks small amounts regularly – it’s not good for your dog to gulp large volumes of water while exercising\, so it’s better to allow him or her to drink a small amount and then come back for some more later. Consider when you plan to eat in advance of the Dog Jog\, you and your dog will feel more comfortable if you aren’t exercising on a full stomach. \nWe anticipate that you will perhaps want to walk a bit\, jog a bit and for those pooches who are demanding\, maybe even carrying for a bit – this is fine\, take as long as you like! However\, if you plan to run with your dog\, then remember to run at a pace that you and your dog are comfortable with. DESCRIPTION:Join #TeamOracle for an epic adventure up the breathtaking Snowdon (Yr Wydffa) and help us raise vital funds for the Head and Neck cancer community. \nLace up your boots\, grab your friends\, and get ready to conquer the highest peak in Wales (1\,085m) on Saturday 4th May. This ascent is your chance to push your limits\, soak in stunning views and create unforgettable memories. \nThe hike is likely to take 6.5hrs up and down including short breaks and photo opportunities at the summit. All participants need to arrive by 08:15 in Llanberis for a prompt 08:30 start. We aim to be back by 3pm. Participants will need a good level of fitness level and commit to training in the weeks leading up to the challenge to ensure they successfully summit. They will be guided throughout by the Mountain Coach. \nParticipants need to arrange their own accomodation and we would recommend to do so as early as possible as this challenge is taking place on a bank holiday weekend.
